Q. I am looking for primary source peer reviewed articles about vocational education in today's high school.
I would start with Education Research Complete, which is an EBSCO database.
For your first topic, enter the terms below in the search boxes (on the left), and using the drop-down boxes, select the limiter shown in the boxes on the right.
vocational education SU Subject
high school SU Subject
study AB Abstract or Author supplied abstract
Before you hit the SEARCH button, look in the SEARCH OPTIONS section below and check the box next to SCHOLARLY (PEER REVIEWED) JOURNALS.
This search will return results for articles on high school vocational education, and the word "study" should help limit to research studies (primary research). Many articles are international in scope. Much of the scholarly writing on this topic appears to be written by authors outside the USA.
In the same database, you can do a new search for your second topic. I would start by setting it up this way:
intelligence tests SU Subject
research SU Subject
and check the box for scholarly/peer reviewed journals in the lower section of the search screen.
